Kicking off the month of March, parents from Woodlands and Dublin Oak came together in Cancún, Quintana Roo, for the Couples’ Gathering—a weekend of faith, unity, and unforgettable moments.

A time for connection

Parents were joined by Fr. Ignacio Camarena, L.C., who guided and accompanied them through this special time of reflection.

Cecilia Azcunaga, director of OAK Ireland, also took part, offering her support not only to the students but also to the parents, strengthening the bond between families and the academies. It was a meaningful opportunity for parents to connect with the academy’s team and with one another, forming friendships that mirror the strong bonds their children build at the academies.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Familia Unida for their key role in both organizing and bringing this event to life. Their dedication to fostering the integral development and growth of families was truly evident, making this occasion even more meaningful.

Workshops that inspire

Parents participated in a special workshop with Alicia Contró, a family counselor and specialist in affective-sexual education, where they explored important aspects of family life and ways to strengthen relationships.

A visit to the Sanctuary of Mary Untier of Knots was one of the weekend’s most powerful experiences. In this peaceful setting, families took a step back from daily routines, reflected, and offered their prayers. It was a beautiful reminder that God is the only one who truly knows our needs, guiding us every step forward.

A celebration of love

One of the most touching moments was the vow renewal ceremony, where couples reaffirmed their love and commitment to each other. It was a reminder that relationships can always grow when nurtured with care, faith, and trust.

Growing together!

Beyond the activities, what made the weekend special was simply being together—enjoying moments, strengthening our connections, and having fun. It showed us how we can grow together in faith, family, and community.
